For the second edition, the Vistula Miracle balloon festival attracted a large crowd (photos and videos).

For this second edition over 3 days, about twenty balloons colored the Vistula’s surroundings with launches all over the capital, including the Olympic Committee’s site, the Vistula’s beaches or the Mokotowskie Pole Park. The temporary hospital at the National Stadium will close in the next days, 6 months after the opening due to the COVID-19.

The hospital was created and opened on November 5th, 2020, in response to the lack of beds in hospitals in the city and its region. At the height of the 3rd wave, 350 patients were received at the same time, 90 of them on ventilators, with a capacity of 550 beds and in case of a major crisis 1200. The German Metal band Rammstein was scheduled at the PGE Stadion Narodowy on July 17th, 2020 but due to the pandemic situation, the concert was postponed. The band announced today that they will finally perform in Warsaw on July 17th, 2021.
