Warsaw-Łódź in 45 minutes by 2027!

This is the target, in 5 years, Warsaw should be linked to Łódź with a high-speed train (up to 350 km/h) by 2027, and part of the new International Airport of Warsaw (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) called “Solidarność”). For this new high-speed line, a tunnel will be built under Odolany and the Warszawa Główna Towarowa station and will run from Warszawa Zachodnia (Warsaw West) and Łódź Fabriczna.

The CPK will be Poland’s main station [HUB] with the new International Airport, new High-Speed trains, and highway network. The first train will link the center of Warsaw to the airport in 15 minutes, less than the time now needed to link Chopin Airport. The CPK could also be the place of the first Hyperloop (Supersonic train that could link the airport to the center of Warsaw in 5 minutes – 35 km / The speed of Hyperloops powered by “Elon Musk” is expected at more than 1000 km/h).

The beginning of the construction in 2023 and the completion of the project in 2027. The project is now supervised by professionals already involved in the construction of the International Airports of Narita in Tokyo, Japan, and Incheon in Seoul because this project is the biggest investment ever made in Poland and will require International professionals accustomed to this type of high scale project for a total of 100 Billion PLN. According to the government, the CPK could create 150 000 new jobs.

The airport will consist of 2 parallel runways (for the first time in Poland), even 3 in the future (2040/2048). Once opened, the airport will have the capacity to perform 1200 operations per day (around 600 in Chopin International Airport). The major part of the International traffic will connect Warsaw to Asia, mostly India, China, and Central Asia, but also North America.

The train station may have 8-9 platforms and will be the heart of the high-speed train network in Poland. The new high-speed trains network is expected to be completed fin 2035 with 12 new railway routes (30 investments) (1800 km) connected to the CPK connecting most of Poland’s region in less than 2,5H.
