Built in 1953, the SKRA Stadium was initially a speedway stadium surrounded by 35 000 people and equipped with volleyball and basketball courts, tennis courts, a training football pitch, and a speedway track. More than only a stadium, it was a complex with an hotel, a canteen, a swimming pool, a doctor’s office, a sauna, and a gym created by Aleksander Wadas Studio. The last global renovation of the place was made more than 20 years ago, now the stadium is dilapidated. The city of Warsaw has already secured a budget of PLN 30 million. The investment should be completed 32 months after the signature of the contract.
