Warsaw and international TV commercials – After Renault, Porsche, BMW, but also Katy Perry… SEAT uses Warsaw for its latest TV spot.

I am a French from Warsaw and I cannot count how many times I saw Warsaw in the French TV commercials. Renault, Toyota, Porsche, BMW, Lexus… and also Katy Perry on her video clip ‘Swish Swish’. This time, it was for the new CUPRA Leon e HYBRID advert staring the German International actor Daniel Brühl, known from films such as Inglourious Basterds, Rush, the Niki Caro and Jessica Chastain’s movie about the famous Warsaw Zoo Zabinski’s couple ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’ or Good bye, Lenin!

Warsaw is often used for TV commercials, but why?

  1. Warsaw is one of the cheapest capital in Europe to make commercials.
  2. Warsaw has many professional and competent TV commercials agencies. I lived almost a year for in Twarda Street in front of the Cosmopolitan Tower next to the Grzybowski Place and in summer commercials or movies were filmed there almost every week. in normal times, it is common to see filming crews shooting scenes in the Nowy Świat, Krakowskie Przedmieście, next to the Park Saski but the two most popular locations are the Świętokrzyski Bridge and the very architectural S8 Acoustic tunnel of Bródno.
  3. But the most attractive aspect of Warsaw is probably the skyline. Yes, the skyline is very important because the clients are looking for an “American” lookalike city and Warsaw Excel in this area. The skyline is impressive, especially from the Świętokrzyski Bridge used in the major part of the videos and many streets have very interesting contemporary architecture reminiscent of the New York streets. (in Zgoda street, next to Złote Tarasy, Metropolitan, Rondo Daszynskiego, Cosmopolitan Tower…).

Into the last Commercials you can find: Renault EZ-ULTIMO, Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé and 911 Carrera Cabriolet, Lexus, Renault Clio, Toyota C-Hr Hybrid…
