According to the organizers of the Marathon of Warsaw the event will be held on September 26 and 27th. Organized in Warsaw since 1979, the 2020 edition will be modified according to the pandemic health requirements. Only 1000 runners will be authorized to participate in this edition (6000 in 2019) divided in 4 groups of 250 people.

The route will lead along a 5-kilometer loop, along the Royal Route, along Miodowa and Bonifraterska streets, and through Zwycięstwa Square and Krasińskich Square and not through the entire city on both sides of the Vistula River as it has been so far.

There will also be no stands and special cheering zones on the route.
