Built in 1953, the SKRA Stadium was initially a speedway stadium surrounded by 35 000 people and equipped with volleyball and basketball courts, tennis courts, a training football pitch, and a speedway track. More than only a stadium, it was a complex with an hotel, a canteen, a swimming pool, a doctor’s office, a sauna, and a gym. The last global renovation of the place was made more than 20 years ago, now the stadium is dilapidated. The city of Warsaw has already secured a budget of PLN 30 million for the first stage of the preparation of the project of a general renovation of the stadium. No deadline for the moment.
